It was Science what brought about one of the main attractions in Costa Rica. During the seventies, and having prior been instrument of those involved in the studies of the wildlife of Costa Rica’s large forestall compounds, the “strange” experience now commonly known as Canopy took shape.
Adventurous folk were the first in engage in such novelty, for the concept of clinging fiercely to lines in the air was not regarded by common sense perhaps as strictly appropriate, but it is undeniable it was soon to take momentum. Entrepreneurs found in this a wonderful option thus in the exploration of the wild forests in a way in which it had never been thought of. The density of the rainy bushes was something that always handicapped the experience of nature beholding and Canopy was sure to enhance and captivate the more daring and younger crowds which were slowly becoming the highest ranking subgroup within the regular tourist hoards.
Many different techniques were boarded, the Tyrolean Lines were used (those of horizontal inclination) and the experiences were extended and elongated to make for sufficient and satisfactory experience. People now dedicate their time exclusively to the Canopy idea and other eco-related activities have been put to join for outstanding fun packages for the tourist by many specialized companies and parks.
The closeness that many such parks hold with San Jose allows for easily arranged visits, these can also sometimes be set for a One Day scenario as well. We will attempt to feature as many options as can be to this interest, always wishing to make the best connections for the capital city. Remember, all great adventures must depart from San Jose.
